Santa's Festival is the first food charity festival in Greece. Since 2009 we are organizing artistic and cultural events we inform the local community about specific topics and issues and exchange the entry with long lasting food.

A double action. First of all, we organize local activities of art, infodays, plays, experiential seminars and workshops which are our vehicle in order to contribute to our citizens. We promote our action and ideas through the Festival and other projects, depending on the field and second the community holds together helping those groups who are in need. A humanitarian and artistic project that brings locals creating site by site for a common purpose. Year by year our team and influence gets bigger and so we provide even more to children and other organisations who works on similar projects.

Music, theatre, painting, sculpture, crafts Culture has always been the zenith of political and historical trajectories of any community. We need to remind ourselves of this fact!

The Festival ''Santa delayed a day'' managed with a number of artistic events to give food to both spirit and body.

How? Young Greeks from Larisa City took the initiative to make theatre and music open to everyone. Calling on the support of friends, theatrical and musical groups and individuals, he managed to exchange art with food, to exchange a ticket with rice, pasta, flour, oil etc. If someone could not afford a ticket to a performance then thedonation of food was welcome. This Festival proved ‘we reap what we sow…’. We aim to contribute the food we receive to the groups and foundations most in need. An now after four years, the festival has taken place in other cities of Greece, in Komotini, Karditsa, Platamona and Farsala, our vision is to help spread it to as many cities as possible of the interior Greece and abroad.

Help us to help others. Be part of the chain.

THE PROJECT

 We already have achieved:

-          The main Festival Called ‘’Santa delayed a day’’. A yearly, 2 weeks long Art festival with over15 events that includes theatre, plays for children, adults, music concerts, traditional dance gatherings etc.

-          Collected more than 15 tons of food the last four years, which went to support institutes and children’s facilitations in need.

-          Made space and encouraged young people to help and support us voluntarily.

-          Brought action in real time and showed the audience that there is hope and we can do things together just by being present and alive and willing!

-          Opened the doors of the events and gave to everyone a free ticket to come in and feed their souls. They thanked us by bringing food for the body.

-          Shared emotions, spirit and body action in order to breathe again and keep our souls focused on the deeper meaning of life, separating the political and financial crisis from the cultural and humanistic crisis we are witnessing.
