Our Vision
Art , in combination with social solidarity, is the highest average for consciousness change. Our vision is a community that acts, takes decisions and functions as an indivisible whole; a world (that will be) possessed/characterized by humanitarian values, teamwork, education and culture always devoted to both people and the environment and that works for the prosperity of an equal society.
Our Mission
First of all, we organize local activities of art, infodays, plays, experiential seminars and workshops which are our vehicle in order to contribute to our citizens. We promote our action and ideas through the Festival and other projects, depending on the field.
Internal Composition
The founders/creators of Artivistas are equally responsible for the choice of the partners and spaces. The General Meeting, which is composed of honorable members and partners sharing our vision, is an important institution for decision making about the correct function and completion of every plan’s phases. Last but not least, we have to mention our volunteers’ work and participation. It’s very important to point out the democratic function of our organization and the right of all members, whether founding, honorable, registered or volunteers to develop their own ideas and vision.
Structure
Artivistas is an action based on three fundamental portals:
Art, history and culture, as the greatest means of teaching and expression of freedom
Art has the ability to move, puzzle, share happiness and smiles and therefore unite people. Collectivity and social contribution are enhanced by teamwork. Theatre, music and dance activities are conducted both for those ideas’ promotion and for helping teams that benefit from
By promoting Art and Culture in Greece and Europe we hope to improve the national relations both locally and among Greeks living abroad, but above all we hope to share the idea that we all are citizens of the same world. History is a cultural element and unites nations. By highlighting our customs and mores, not only do we learn our origins, but we also learn to respect other cultures and nations. By organizing cultural and artistic activities, such as plays and art exhibitions, and offering to non-privileged people through these activities, our work has many aspects.
These aspects depend on the way we organize and promote our activities. Firstly, we develop actions where we are educated and at the same time underprivileged people are benefited economically by taking food, which is the “ticket” for our activities, for their needs.
Education and information for citizens
Activities, workshops and seminars are scheduled for culture, ecological awareness and new occupational opportunities. Through the programs and the incorporation to labor market social disclosure is impugned while voluntarism and teamwork bloom when actions regard social topics.
Also, innovation and modernization are promoted along with help and information about new technology and innovative ideas about sustainable development, ecology and environmental consciousness.
