Project ''Work It Happen''

ARTivistas strike again and bring along summer fragrance. Their new Project wears the title #WorkItHappen, travels through Greek villages and moves in three directions. The first is to update and strengthen the internal organization of local associations, the second is to transfer their volunteer team to the place and designe and landscape with colors and graffiti, the third is the 'Translocal Volunteer Festival' promoting art, exhibitions, music, theater and dance.

The purpose of this action is the root reorganization of local communities and the tangible proof that when people work  as a team they can always create and manage more. Volunteers from different cities and locals are invited to become a group and work together so to be the living example and show that change starts locally and by making small steps at a time.

This action starts for the first time from Platania N. Pelion. In cooperation with the Cultural Association, the Association of Professionals of this area and the volunteer group of Artivistas who bring among them a staff from a range of disciplines and arts; will beautify the village. For four days they will paint at the port and the beach, making everyday life of all participants most vivid and will prepare the place to welcome  visitors and tourists. After completing this prooject’s part of painting and graffiting and within this summer, they will return to set up theaterplays, dance and music, closing the circle of their action. Summer cinema, theaters, a different from other years and more refreshed Beach pARTie are some of the events that will follow.

With a lot of love, a lot of energy and dreams ARTivistas begin their new journey in to a world full of color and art! Stay tuned to learn more about or contact them if you want to make your place the next destination or support their Project #MakeItHappen!
